Who we are
A Banepa scrap yard with nothing to hide.
Kavre Scrap Yard started with a simple idea: selling your old things shouldn't feel like a bargaining match you're bound to lose.
What we're here to do
Give every household and business in Kavre an easy, honest buyer for their scrap — one that shows its prices up front, weighs in the open, and makes sure the material really gets recycled.
Where we're headed
Regular collection rounds reaching every municipality in the district, a steady living for the collectors we work with, and fewer smoke piles and dumped sacks along our roads and rivers.
How it began
The kabadi trade needed a little daylight
Most of us have sold to a passing kabadi: a hand-held spring scale, a price that changes mid-sentence, and no idea if it was fair. Meanwhile, plenty of perfectly recyclable material in our towns still gets burned or tipped by the river.
We set up a proper sorting yard in Banepa to do it differently: prices you can read online, a scale you can read yourself, and a van that comes when it says it will.
One load, three winners: money in your hand, a day's work for a local collector, and raw material back into Nepali factories.

House rules
Four things we don't compromise on
Show the scale
If you can't see the reading, it doesn't count. That rule applies on every job.
Pay people properly
Customers, crew and pheriwala partners all get a fair, on-time deal.
Finish the loop
Scrap only leaves our yard for a licensed recycler — never a tip or a fire.
Keep it simple
Clear prices, a quick booking and a slip you can keep. No fine print.
After the pickup
So where does it all end up?
Not in a riverbank tip or an open fire. Every load follows the same four-stage route through our yard.
- Step 1
Picked up
Loaded at your door, or brought in by you to the yard.
- Step 2
Checked
Weighed material by material, with you watching.
- Step 3
